Custom wind

Custom Wind is set using the web form shown at right.

The web page is  'hierarchichal'  - you can set simply wind direction, and an overall variability level (similar to auto wind)
OR
you can carry on down the page to set wind speed, wind variability, current direction and wave & current strength.

 

Coming soon ... and advanced page with new features plus access to set shifts gusts wave height & length explicitly.

 

Wind Direction should always be set.   Just click the button for the directon you want.

Default WWC Settings   Click one of these (Easy or Challenging) to have Zephi work everything else out for you.  (See below for the detail on this).

If you are doing this, skip the rest of the form and just click   Submit 

 

Wind Variability:  This sets shifts & gusts (the momentary fluctuations of wind direction & speed).    See the Tech page for specifics.

 

Current & Waves:   Note that, unlike wind, current direction is the direction the water is flowing TO.

Strength:  This controls current speed and wave height & speed.  See the

Tech page for details

 

When you click  Submit  settings are sent back to the boat.  A summary will appear in your browse window - you can just close the window.
