BETA - Notes & Caveats

 

  1. This is Beta!   Just like SL.  Haha.

  2. We very much want your feedback  please see forum thread slsailing.co or forum thread VWS

  3. Custom ( the web user interface) does curently NOT work with a Chrome browser.

  4. We are not aware of any other critical errors at this time.   But, who knows ...

  5. It is reported that the auto settings give some unusual behaviour with a Fizz.  We are looking into this but more info please.

  6. The manual is very much web site under construction... some of the screen shots are of earlier versions of the system but the differences are not material.

Update 1.4 & 1.5

This update has some technical fixes and three new features:

 

  • "Club Cruise" support in Universal Wind
    When in effect, rez in the official start sim & select Universal wind, you will get the recommended wind setting for the cruise
     

  • Squalls / calms in Xtreme mode
    These are major increases or decreases in wind speed.   Every 90 - 120 minutes Zephi sets a 'scenario' as to when the effect begins, how quickly it will phase in, how long it lasts (maybe just a few minutes may be longer) and the strength of the wind increase or decrease. 
    When you cast off, you will get a weather forecast - but just as in RL it is not 100% accurate hehe!

  • Configuration HUD to set skipper preferences on how Zephi operates
    - whether Zephi menu opens when you board - always / only if Zephi not in Auto mode / never
    - whether Zephi refreshes weather params when you cast off (she always does when you board)
    - the "Spam" level.   (you can still set this temporarily on the Options menu).
